Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how HagaGraphy uses cookies and similar technologies on www.hagagraphy.com.
The Website is a photography portfolio operated using Squarespace.
This Cookie Policy is based primarily on Swiss law, including Article 45c of the Telecommunications Act (TCA/FM G) and the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG), together with the current guidance of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files or similar technologies that are stored on, or accessed from, your device when you visit a website.
They can be used for different purposes, including:
Providing essential website functionality;
Maintaining security;
Remembering preferences;
Measuring website usage; or
Providing optional features and services.
Similar technologies may also be used even where information is not technically stored in a conventional cookie.
2. Our current cookie configuration
HagaGraphy uses the Squarespace cookie banner.
Our current configuration is:
Essential cookies: remain available where necessary for the Website to operate.
Non-essential cookies: are restricted until the visitor accepts them.
Cookie choices: visitors are provided with options to manage or decline non-essential cookies.
Squarespace Activity Log: disabled.
This configuration is intended to give visitors meaningful control over optional cookies and similar technologies.
3. Swiss cookie requirements
Article 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act requires website operators to inform users about the use of technologies that store or process information on their devices and about their purpose.
Users must also be informed that they have the possibility to refuse such processing and how they can do so.
Our approach is to restrict non-essential cookies until the visitor actively accepts them.
4. Essential cookies
Essential cookies and similar technologies may be used where they are necessary for the operation, security or basic functionality of the Website.
Examples can include technologies required to:
Deliver the Website;
Maintain technical functionality;
Provide security;
Remember technical settings necessary for operation; or
Provide functionality specifically requested by the visitor.
Because these technologies are necessary for the Website, they may not be capable of being disabled without affecting the operation of the Website.
5. Non-essential cookies
Non-essential cookies are optional technologies that are not strictly necessary for the basic operation of the Website.
Depending on the features enabled on the Website, they may include technologies used for:
Analytics;
Measuring Website usage;
Optional functionality;
Remembering non-essential preferences; or
Third-party integrations.
Non-essential cookies are restricted until accepted through the cookie banner.
Visitors may decline these cookies.
6. Analytics
If analytics functionality is enabled on the Website, analytics cookies or similar technologies are treated as non-essential.
They are therefore restricted until the visitor accepts the relevant cookies through the cookie banner.
The specific analytics service used should be identified in this policy if one is installed.
If no analytics service is active, no analytics cookies should be represented as being used merely because Squarespace provides analytics functionality generally.
7. Squarespace
The Website uses Squarespace for hosting and website functionality.
Squarespace may use cookies and similar technologies as part of providing its services.
The precise technologies used can depend on the features and integrations enabled on the Website.
8. Activity Log
The Squarespace Activity Log is disabled.
HagaGraphy therefore does not use the Squarespace Activity Log as an active visitor-monitoring feature.
Other technical information necessary for hosting, security or operation of the Website may nevertheless be processed by Squarespace or other service providers.
9. Third-party services
The Website may contain links or integrations to third-party services.
A third-party service may use its own cookies or similar technologies when its content or functionality is loaded or used.
Where a non-essential third-party technology is under our control, it will be restricted until the relevant visitor choice has been made.
Once you leave the Website or interact directly with a third-party service, that provider's own privacy and cookie policies may apply.
10. Managing your cookie choices
When you first visit the Website, you can use the cookie banner to manage your choices.
You can decline non-essential cookies.
Where the Website provides a cookie-management function, you may also return to your preferences and change your choice.
You can additionally manage cookies through your browser settings.
Please note that blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of some websites.
11. Withdrawal or change of consent
Where you have accepted non-essential cookies, you may change or withdraw your choice using the available cookie-management controls.
If consent is withdrawn, future activation of the relevant non-essential technologies will be prevented where technically possible.
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.
12. Future online shop
HagaGraphy may introduce an online shop in the future.
The shop is not currently operational.
This Cookie Policy therefore does not currently describe cookies associated specifically with:
Shopping baskets;
Checkout;
Payment processing;
Customer accounts;
Order management;
Delivery; or
Other e-commerce functionality.
When an online shop is introduced, this Cookie Policy will be reviewed and updated to reflect the technologies actually used.
13. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the Website, Squarespace configuration, third-party services or applicable law changes.
The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
